About The Practice

I have successfully helped many people battle Addiction, Depression, Anxiety/Panic, complicated grief, and PTSD. I focus on decreasing/eliminating symptoms, providing tools/skills, increasing understanding/self-awareness, and helping people find meaning. I love to help people experience more peace in the lives, which continues to be a goal for my practice and a gift for my clients. Another amazing experience I’ve had, has been helping people get sober. The transformations are truly remarkable and absolutely life changing (and saving).

I am passionate about helping people make positive changes in their lives. I also know that asking for help is difficult, so you can contact me first to see how comfortable you feel about starting therapy (whether for the first time or retuning). Clients have said that my calm presence and caring demeanor are comforting for them in their therapy experience with me. We'll also include humor during our work, as it is the best medicine.

What You Can Expect

If this is your first time in therapy, there are a few things to consider. Therapy isn't about having someone fix your problems, although that would be convenient.  It is a collaboration between the therapist and the client to increase understanding, reduce symptoms, and get clarity about your priorities. Your motivation levels may be addressed as well.  It is also a place for support, to be heard, and to express your feelings in a safe and confidential environment without judgement.

Getting Started

After speaking with me, if it is mutually agreed upon to take the next step to set up an appointment, you will be asked to read and complete a few brief forms online. Your first appointment will be an opportunity for you to judge your comfort level and determine if you and I are a good fit. The first visit will take approximately one hour.
